Before your professional cleaning team arrives at your home, it’s a good idea to let us know if there are pets in your home. It will help us prepare for any special cleaning requirements as well as help keep our teams safe.
We love pets as much as you do. But we also understand that dogs, cats, and other animals can cause unique cleaning problems. Things like shedding, fur dander, and “accidents” can sometimes require specialized equipment and cleaning skills to clean. When we know ahead of time what to expect, we can be sure to bring the right tools and assign experienced people to your home cleaning job.
Pet Safety
Another consideration is what to do with your pets while our cleaning team is servicing your home. Generally, we recommend putting pets outside whenever possible. This helps keep them out of the way while ensuring the safety of your cleaning professionals. It also helps reduce the risk of pet anxiety caused by strangers in their homes, loud noises, and unusual smells from cleaning products.
If the weather is uncooperative or you don’t have an enclosed outdoor area for your pets to stay, another option is to leave your pets in an indoor room with the door completely closed to prevent them from accidentally getting out. Make sure to notify the team leader assigned to your house where the pets are located.
Specialized Cleaning
Cleaning homes that contain pets aren’t usually more challenging than servicing clients without pets. It’s just that it helps to know what we’re dealing with before starting your cleaning job. We may need vacuums or attachments for removing shedding fur or dander. Or special cleaning chemicals to remove pet odor.
At Carvalho’s Cleaning, we are experienced at cleaning homes that contain pets. For their safety and ours, it’s a good idea to let us know about your pets before we arrive.
