When working with new clients, one of the most common questions we get asked is, “How often should I have maids clean my home.”

Our answer is always the same: “That depends on a number of different factors.”

Some homes are fine with being cleaned once every two weeks while other homes benefit from weekly cleaning appointments. Still other homes can be cleaned daily. It all depends on who is living in the home and how clean you want your home to be.

Frequency of Cleaning

Generally, the more people living in your home and the younger average age of its residents, the more frequent your cleanings should be.

Homes with a lot of people living in them get dirtier faster than homes with just one or two people living under the same roof. Similarly, homes with young children tend to get dirty faster than those with mostly or all adults.

Many parents of young children also want to ensure their homes are extra clean so that their children are safer. So homes with one or more children under than age of 6 tend to require additional cleanings.

While most of the clients of Carvalho’s Cleaning have set times for their houses to be cleaned by our staff of professional house cleaners, there are always those special occasions that require an additional cleaning appointment.

For example, if you are hosting a holiday party or a neighborhood get-together in your home, you probably will want our maids to give your house a special pre-event cleaning so you can ensure it looks its best.
